13:30 Departure to Biomass processing facility VŠĮ Pievų paukščiai in Dreverna.
The primary scope of the factory work is nature conservation. By recycling late-cut grass from natural wetlands, which is no longer suitable for fodder, the factory maintains the unique habitats of Europe’s rarest songbird – the Aquatic warbler. This small factory fills a missing gap of a self-sustaining, closed nature conservation system ensuring that biomass will not accumulate in wetlands, which are now rare in Europe. In this way, they make sure that this habitat is protected.

09:00 Walking to the Parnidis Dune and free time in town of Nida.
Blown by harsh winds, the Parnidis Dune rises up to as many as 52 meters above sea level. A scenic viewpoint constructed at the top of the dune allows one to see a wide panorama of the surroundings of the town of Nida. While exploring the town streets later, you will notice a unique ancient architecture and preserved interior details of fishermen’s houses, small cafes, cozy courtyards, beautifully arranged coastline, frequently visited by ducks and swans.
